These concerns seemed to threaten education’s integrity and I was on that bandwagon.
But when I looked closer at Generative AI, I saw a brighter side. Sure, there are risks, but the benefits for education are significant. Generative AI can tailor education to individual needs, give specific feedback, and save teachers time so they can focus more on their students.
On this blog, I’ll be digging into Generative AI’s potential as well as those ethical concerns and how to overcome them. I acknowledge the downsides, but I want to focus on emphasizing the positive uses in education that overshadow the bad reputation. We’re talking about creating varied and differentiated educational content and new ways to motivate and understand students. Generative AI could really change education for the better, but we, as educators must first learn its appropriate ethical and professional application.
